About
Meet Candice Mangon
Yoga teacher · Founder of Shanti Yogi
Candice has taught yoga for fifteen years, after thirty years of practice. She founded Shanti Yogi and ran her own yoga centre in Rhode-Saint-Genèse for seven years.
Her practice belongs to the Krishnamacharya tradition and draws on Viniyoga, Sivananda and Iyengar: precision in the posture, awareness of the breath, inwardness. She is certified by the Belgian Yoga Federation and by Adeps, a member of Abepy, trained by the Krishnamacharya Healing and Yoga Foundation in India and certified in Sivananda Yoga Vedanta.
At Forest she teaches two group classes on Tuesday evenings, at 6.30pm and at 8pm, an hour and a quarter each. The session alternates postures held still with flowing sequences, to strengthen and loosen the body while circulating prana, the vital energy. Every class includes pranayama and meditation, and closes, as the mood suggests, with a sound healing relaxation of bowls and chants.
She also offers one-to-one sessions with a practice built around you, mantra chanting, and yoga and meditation retreats. Alongside yoga she is a Neuro Trainer and founded Neuroflow, dedicated to dynamic neurofeedback.
